Are you able to substitute dried cherries on this combine to make it a shelf secure product? I’m considering of jars for the vacations. If SO, what would you suggest reconstituting the cherries with? Our native USDA Commodities program offers out plenty of dried fruit resembling cherries, plums, and so forth.

The filling did take a bit extra of the arrowroot earlier than it was thickened to my satisfaction. Having no frozen cherries readily available, I used 2 cans of purple tart cherries (drained) as a substitute. Thanks for an ideal different to cherry pie!

We liked the odor of this baking! Nonetheless, the highest was free and didn’t agency up so it was onerous to choose up and eat as a bar. I used Myokos butter substitute and ghee and Sorghum flour within the topping and marvel if that brought about it.

[comment_content] => My dad is a big cherry fan, so I made these for his birthday and he liked them! Really, everybody liked them! I used recent cherries as a substitute of frozen and the stability between the oat crumble and the cherries was excellent! The oat crumble was somewhat dry (undecided if it was as a result of I used all-purpose flour) so I added in somewhat further butter. Will certainly make once more!

[comment_content] => My son lately turned vegan and this is likely one of the common treats within the fridge today. Love the flavors but as we speak I’m attempting it with peaches and I wager that can be good. I exploit recent fruit not frozen. I’ve used butter taste coconut oil in addition to vegan butter and there did not appear to be a noticeable distinction. My solely challenge with this recipe is it’s a little too crumbly and tends to crumble. I attempted final time including in 2 tablespoons of floor flax seeds, that may have helped somewhat. I’m gonna proceed to tweak it and see if I can get the crust somewhat firmer. However general, we find it irresistible!

I used all objective flour and added 4 TBSP of maple syrup and somewhat extra miyoko’s butter. So tasty! I’ll add a number of crushed walnuts subsequent time.
Love love the tart recent cherries. And I’m doubling the recipe subsequent time bc it disappeared into our bellies quick.

[comment_content] => So DELISH! I choose this to a conventional cherry pie bc there’s extra texture. This was such a beautiful means to make use of my neighbor’s tart cherries. I did use somewhat extra Miyoko’s butter (1/4 cup) and 1 extra TBLS of maple syrup. Didn’t have almond extract so used lemon extract and it was tremendous. The one challenge is that it disappeared into our bellies too shortly. Non-vegan/non-GF buddies had no concept that it was egg/flour/dairy free till their bowels have been empty. I just like the So Delish Coconut Whip, however because it’s 4th of July, I’ll attempt Vanilla good cream. Infact I doubled the recipe as we speak to take to a celebration. Blissful Vegan Consuming buddies!!!

[comment_content] => Enjoyable and straightforward to make, and scrumptious! I adopted the recipe precisely, they usually turned out completely. I used to be somewhat nervous that the bars weren’t “set” sufficient after 30 minute at 350 – do observe the recipe’s route to place the bars within the fridge for a number of hours after they cool. That is what’s going to get them to set properly. I’ll undoubtedly be making this recipe (and comparable ones on the location) once more. Thanks, Monique and staff!
